Pros

The organization itself has some great policies and benefits to support a flexible work style and ensure employees have a good work/life balance, which helps balance out the inevitable struggles of working for a non-profit. It is an inspiring place to work, working alongside incredibly intelligent, thoughtful people trying to make the world a better place.

Cons

However, those flexible, work/life balance policies and benefits vary significantly by the team you are on, with some teams having a much more traditional management style while others operate more as a start-up.

Pros

Great ideas and land protection strategies.

Cons

Poorly staffed at the conservation level, much more attention focused on donors than the follow through on the conservation efforts at the land management level.

Thank you for your feedback. We are committed to our mission as well respect for people, community and cultures. We do our best work when we treat one another with respect and consideration. I am disheartened to hear about some of your experience and would like to discus ways to improve at the land management level. Please contact me at recruiting@tnc.org.
