Pros

I love working for an organization that provides such an amazing and neccessary service to children with autism and their families. I truly enjoy having a career that also allows me to give back to the community. I really enjoy my coworkers, and find everyone at NECC to be friendly and helpful. NECC is a leader in autism research and treatment, and is continually expanding around the globe. I'm proud to say I work for this organization. If that's not enough, you can't beat the benefits and vacation time.

Cons

Working with children with autism is not for the faint of heart. It is challenging but rewarding work.

Pros

Young, fun staff; the kids are excellent; good place to gain experience and do research with ASD population

Cons

If you are not planning on getting a degree in ABA or Special Ed, don't bother. The awful schedule (nights and a 12 hour shift on one weekend day) and low pay aren't worth it

Pros

Many professional and specialist on site to assist with implementing and developing behavior plans to aid in the life improvement of those diagnosed with ASD. 5 weeks of paid vacations.

Cons

It sometimes feels like you never leave work or that you are ever "all caught up" on your work. You need to love what you do to do what we do at this center.
