Pros

Free lunch! Cheap health insurance. Work with many people out of college.

Cons

The children can be terrifying--commonly sending teachers to ER. You have to schedule ALL of your 4 weeks of vacation at the beginning of the year!! Long shifts. Terrible management. Pay is not nearly enough for what you have to put up with day to day.

Pros

Vacation time is fantastic, who else (besides public school) will give you 5 weeks of vaca right off the bat? Also, graduate school tuition reimbursement is hard to come by in this economy, which makes NECC a great place for new college grads.

Cons

I am currently finding that it is difficult to transfer between teams. Fortunately, this problem only occurs once per contract year.
