Pros

This job allows me to work on various studies, and work in a multisite setting to help establish and complete tasks and reach goals.

Cons

This department has never had a project manager and so sometimes, there is confusion in what exactly my targeted role should be and where my focus should go.

Pros

My organization has a really great environment and team structure. Flexible work arrangements. Supportive staff.

Cons

OSU has implemented a pay structure with career roadmap that has put employees last in the equation. Staff with 10+ years of experience have been forced to hourly rates and have been locked out of raises for taking on new roles and additional responsibilities. It’s criminal that an organization that offers masters degrees will offer to hire those same graduates for less than $40k a year.

Pros

Benefits are helpful if you are a Franklin Cty. resident

Cons

Capped 3% raises, no advancement for many positions, rampant nepotism and corruption in handling nearly anything on a small scale issue and turning the blind eye to their larger operations interfering with employees. The entire organization plays catch up to competitive wages and has to have its hand forced to create any positive changes. Their mental health awareness programs are abysmal and are more made to protect the University from lawsuits rather than offer actual beneficial aid to their employees who they demand arbitrary and archaic standards on in the midst of a global crisis on any degree. i.e. a pandemic
