Pros

The "company culture" I think was better prior to the changes...my interview process and background check/reference checks went well and was very professional. I had an opportunity to meet more than just my soon to be manager. The leadership SEEMED caring, compassionate and concerned about us as employed Onites and the company's growth.

Cons

Lied to consistently, mislead, talked about and lies on to management, under appreciated and overworked with no overtime...forced to "work and be paid for 40 hours or work under 40 hours and be forced to use sick or PTO to be compensated. Regardless of children, family etc. if you work 60+ hours per week-it doesn't matter. You're still only entitled to the 40 hrs and no one cares as they say they do. There was a corporate meeting held and many were invited-but we weren't learning anything or taken into consideration of anything but food-want your own room? YOU PAY FOR IT!

Pros

Despite the rapid growth, Onin strives to keep its core values and culture throughout the company and in each branch. Branches are encouraged to be unique. Direct employees are motivated to be creative and innovative in their work. Leadership/management tries their best to keep the open door policy despite busy schedule. Overall a great company to build a career with and grow.

Cons

Pay is below national average and is at the discretion of direct manager, with or without input from corporate leadership. Example... Some Reg Mgrs are generous and pay their BMs and staff well and appropriately for their hard work. Some Reg Mgrs could care less that their Branch Mgrs or staff live in a city with high living costs or that they've been with the company for years; these Reg Mgrs still won't give proper pay. I guess the more they give to their people, the less they pocket for themselves. What's sad is that the corporate office doesn't step in and review. So, expect to be a dedicated, hard working local Manager and make less than 40k a year and get less than 0.50 cents raise. (That's if your Reg Mgr have time for your review.) I've placed warehouse people to work who get paid more than this.

Pros

Be able to save money and time. Flexible schedule due to being the only one taking care oi my failing parents would help me to be able to do my job and make money.

Cons

I do not see a con in this type of work.
