Pros

It employs a diverse range of people. We are very inclusive. You will make friends if you socialize. You will get a nice farmer’s tan. The meal plan is okay: $4 for $14 value.

Cons

The wage is less than other similar jobs. We are constantly lacking necessary equipment for daily tasks. We have to wear black pants in 90-degree weather. A coworker was fired for reacting negatively to a racist guest. We are perpetually understaffed. There are more events than days of the week in the summer, so that along with being understaffed puts more work on less people. Our desperate manager hired with no scrutiny which gave us a plethora of staff with pathetic work ethic. I was doing a supervisor’s job before I officially had the position, but I was not paid accordingly. I still don’t think I am, and I think my “valued” coworkers deserve more too. One of the concessions supervisors is nothing but a miserable person who ruins people’s day and makes her staff cry, yet she gets paid $22/hr. The other supervisors/managers are always mad at her, yet because she worked with the one guy on top, she basically has tenure. So why does she get a seniority raise but my coworkers who have been working here for 5+ years do not? I plan on quitting soon.
