Pros

The only pro was that insurance was paid for by the company. You learn how to sound smart while scamming students.

Cons

No work-life balance whatsoever. No benefit to being an onsite employee because an employee discount does not exist. As an employee, I could not even comfortable afford a four-bedroom apartment. They took away commission unexpectedly and acted like they were doing us a favor by increasing our salary only $5k. JOKE!!!! Unrealistic expectations currently thrown at you. If you do not work 25/8, you are looked at as a bad worker. Oh, and don't let leasing not go as planned! They need someone to blame, and that person will be you- not the people that raised rates ridiculously high. PTO and holidays are complete jokes! I could go on and on about this company. Corporate employees are RUDE and have their noses in the air — the worst decision I've ever made.

Pros

They aren’t going to fire you bc they need the help. Everyone is leaving and if they haven’t already- they are looking for better opportunities. Jumps on board with tuition reimbursement, parental paid leave, + 2 additional holidays trying to compete with other student housing places who already offered this.

Cons

-Pay is either fought for or considerably low. They do not pay on site bonuses (so don’t expect that when you see it in your offer letter). -Does not pay bonuses per lease/renewals -Does not offer housing concessions -DOES NOT PROMOTE -No room for growth unless you get in with the right people in Corporate -Does not listen to on site staff, will send out surveys and check ins but as far as what they do with the info, idk. -Centralized sales team members in Chicago to help lease property can either be great or not depending on the sales person, manager, and other staff you get -They have had so much turnover and change in portfolios that you never know how long you will work with a person

Pros

The on-site staff was great. I had an amazing team that did more than their fair share.

Cons

Over worked and stressed. Demeaned by corporate staff constantly and treated like they know what’s better for your property/market from afar. Think that what works in other markets work in all markets. Many people have left from being over worked and having breakdowns. Or been fired for made up reasons.
