Chaotic- But remote

Pros

- Remote work - Could be good pay if you hit goals

Cons

- Unrealistic goals - Management struggles with processes - This job would be really hard to succeed in if you aren't an over achiever - Minimal training or follow up - Not clear path for advancement

Good Company

Pros

-Team is always available if you have concerns. Communication has gotten better the longer I have worked with them. Communication wasn't that great in the beginning. -Get a pay raise every year -PD Courses avaiable -Wellness and PD Stipends available -I believe they also have mileage reimbursement available if you travel far enough (I do not)

Cons

-no paid holidays -do not accrue PTO (only 5 sick days per year) -health coverage is pretty basic -No Summer placement (although I have tried every single year to get one) -Not always easy to move if this company does not have an outstanding contract with the school you want/posted a job listing. Have not had success when asking them to reach out to schools that I have seen postings that I am interested in

Love Working for SSG

Pros

The company offers great benefits, including comprehensive insurance, W2 employment, and a 401k plan, which provides financial security and peace of mind. I really appreciate the flexibility of working from home, which allows for a better work-life balance. Upper-level management is highly accessible and supportive, always ready to assist when needed. They also maintain excellent communication with the schools, taking care of setting up interviews and resolving any issues on your behalf, which makes the work process much smoother and stress-free.

Cons

One downside of the job is the limited PTO, as we only receive three paid days off. Additionally, since the position is hourly, there is no pay for snow days, hurricane days, or other unexpected closures. While these are challenges, I find that the pros of the job far outweigh them, particularly given my family’s current financial situation. The flexibility and support I receive here are invaluable. However, if my family’s financial needs were to change and I needed to contribute more, I might need to explore other opportunities to ensure greater financial stability.

We understand that PTO and a 401k match are important factors, and we’ll certainly take your suggestions into account as we look to improve our benefits package. Your insight is truly appreciated, and we’re glad to have you as part of our team!
