Pros

Huge library of continuing education that counts towards licensure. Easy reimbursement for cross-state licensure and background checks for new employment. They have a large network of contracts across the country. They work quickly to find you a position and make things right if a contract falls through. I was given hiring bonuses to keep me afloat financially before my contract even started because my initial contract fell through. They have the option to spread your yearly pay across the summer and school holidays.

Cons

Benefits are kinda pricey, and coverage isn't the best. The retirement plans don't match contributions at all. There is a lot of stress in keeping a contract because a school district can decide at any time to stop using contractors for their district, which makes things very stressful.

Pros

Contracts are handled for you W2 positions DCFSA & FSA options available

Cons

Don't offer 401k matching health insurance is steep raises are still pretty low compared to what they're getting paid for contracts Stipends don't really cover much as far as licensure goes. getting virtual testing material is a headache recruiters are hard to get to respond once you sign your contract

Supportive employees, but chaotic and limited advancement

Pros

Very kind employees that mean well

Cons

-Lots of former educators so not a lot of business experience so chaotic. -Not much room for advancement (they have their chosen crew they want to advance and if you aren't in it, it won't happen) - SSGs model is to acquire smaller companies with no plan on how to integrate the employees into SSG. Also leading to a lot of chaos and disorganization -Salaries range drastically. Some people in the same position will make $50,000 and others who have less or equal experience will be making twice as much.
