Pros

SSG has great support for its clinicians in terms of CEU reimbursement and Bridge Academy courses. The director I have for my region is as attentive as she can be given the constraints she has.

Cons

Vertical stratification is not great (they don't tell you, but you only get a 1% raise every year). You're better off joining a school district directly after 3 years in the field so that you can get cheaper benefits and paid maternity leave. You also need to pay a chunk of change for medical benefits if you choose a plan that has a lower deductible. They do not match your 401k if you don't work corporate and they do not provide paid maternity leave.

Pros

From the moment I was hired, I always had a point person or another co-worker that I could reach out to for support or questions. The company also provided a training website which contained several references and webinars.

Cons

At the start of the new school year I was not able to return to the school that I had gotten to know and love. As a contract employee, I was assigned to a new school just before the start of the new academic year.
