Pros

You get paid on time. You get to have a 401K retirement account You get regular access to both county and company training You get free CEUs, they have some type of school CE online program

Cons

You cannot tell when they are lying and scapegoating the client vs. when they really have their hands tied. Clinical manager and Team Leads will ignore your communication in a hot minute if it puts them in the hot seat or inconveniences their time. They go by what is convenient for them and not the therapist doing the work. Some of the recruiters are horrible communicators. You have to chase them down to get insight on your situation. They should at minimum send a courtesy call, text or email as often as the therapist gets paid (e.g. weekly, or bi-weekly). They do not treat their returning therapists with the same respect and perks as their initial hire clinical fellows, which is weird, because you'd think they'd throw out the red carpet to retain therapists for both the client and their benefit. Onboarding is an expense. IT's cheaper economically to keep therapists that are aleady on board happy. They are not quick to switch you out of a bad placement. No two high schools are the same. I'll leave that there.

Pros

8am-2:30 schedule. No work brought home.

Cons

No additional hours are available. No ways to move up in the company. No training is available. Had a bachelor's degree and experience in the fields and was offered less than someone without a bachelor's. The recruiter got upset when I asked for a raise because I believed I was worth more. Only made a couple bucks more than minimum wage for working in a SDC class. The district can cut your hours and the company will not compensate you.
