Pros

Blessed with decades of wonderful sales positions, with some of the best companies one could ever ask for. I am proud of what I do, I am a salesperson, and I am responsible. I know in my heart to be successful at anything it takes passion and commitment to serve. "Serve the Customer!' My position with The Tile Shop is the platform to achieve my goals and dreams, and that platform is solid. "Build it and they will come!" The Tile Shop made the investment; I too have to make an investment every time I walk on to the floor with all that I have to insure "our" success! I have to hone my skills and attitude daily, this company allows us to do exactly that and all I have to do is then up to me. I have to be the one responsible for the outcome, win or lose. I have to be the solution not the problem; I have to respect my co-workers, my environment and my company! I also have to have faith that I have been given a chance to be successful with no guarantees! Life does not work that way, companies do not work that way so you can look at the glass, half-full or have empty. I am the captain of my ship, sales, real sales works like that, no guarantees! It is in my hands and I love the challenge The Tile Shop has given me! When nobody else believed in me, The Tile Shop did! I am grateful for this opportunity. Look in the mirror; I do, because that is what my customers see. Moreover, they had better see the best, because I am responsible!

Cons

I know that life can be hard, everybody has problems and I do not have my head in the sand. I can look at the shortcomings of people, companies and even myself. That is not where I need to spend my valuable time! Read all the reviews, if you want to focus on the negative posts, this job is not for you. They do not need you unless you believe in yourself. If you want that hourly guarantee keep looking, but if you believe in your God given talents step up to the plate! This work, I mean work... not job; is not for you! This work is a labor of love, that is what real sales is about, LOVE, the rest will come. The success will be there if you believe in yourself. That is not The Tile Shop's responsibility. It is my and your responsibility wherever you might be. Good luck and God speed

Pros

I have the ability to run my own store w great support from corporate. The company is on a huge growth track with huge career advancement opportunity.

Cons

It's a fun rewarding job but you have to put in the hard work to be successful. I try to focus on training and mentoring and keep the work week down to a 5 day work week. The new company culture is focusing on "people first" which is something I'm excited about.
