Pros
Fun to design for customers - i would have the most fun dealing with customers and providing the most knowledge to them to give them informed decisions.
Cons
Bad management - You have management who has no clue what they are doing. Makes your job harder to help customers. Management will threaten your job if you try to reach out to upper management to address concerns with poor leadership. Unacceptable behaviors - Management would freak out and make it seem as though everything you do is wrong instead of trying to help you. You will be told to do things. When done exactly as stated. They will instead write you up for things that never happened. Products- products are marked up to a ridiculous rate and company will insist that it is the best quality when its the same stuff sold right down the street by competitors. False promises - had multiple employees told that they are being promoted but instead they hire from the outside right after they tell employees about being promoted. Had it happen to me and 2 other coworkers. Even seen a designer who work there for more than 5 years be passed for another new person because of random prerequisites that they change every time they discuss the promotions. Super low pay- they have a draw system that makes it impossible to make more money then the minimum unless you work at a super high volume store. Everyone ends up owing the company out of the paycheck. Customers do not matter- if you are here to help people design and make nice projects DONT. Customers are the last of their worries. Its all about how to milk the customer even when you have customer service issues. Seen it plenty of times where customers get short shipped items and you have to resell it to them even though they never received them. Had management change multiple times since being there. Management even told me on my first few days, how the company already wanted to fire me as employee because of lack of knowledge of company knowledge (SAP, OMS, company sales tactics)
