This is a terrible organization and really quite predatory. The company's unofficial motto was "work 50 [hours] to bill 40 [hours]. With this company, they try to do everything on the cheap and on the quiet. They are ultra paranoid about the clients they have (insurance clients), and will do just about anything to keep them happy.
Now I gave precious blood sweat and tears to this company and they rewarded me by railroading me and ultimately terminating me for political reasons. That was the thanks I got.
Negotiating for a salary will be tough with these guys, they don't recognize facts that living in California is far more costly than living in Massachusetts. They won't understand your struggle. And all "compensation" matters gets decided by a "compensation committee" (true) which is the companies inner circle. They are also in charge of terminations.
This company has a few carrots they like to dangle in front of you, but beware of their ESOP they hire and fire people every year to keep there ESOP numbers strong. So sorry but they will fire anyone to 1) prove a point 2) save a $.
If you are applying or even considered this company, be forewarned, they do not care about you. Instead they will force you to watch presentations on "millennials" given by baby boomers. You will be criticized daily and professionally grieved for any reason they choose. I once had 7 bosses as an entry level engineer. 7 people that at any given moment could call and give me grief. It doesn't matter how far you travelled or how clean you did the job, if they $$$ don't make sense, they won't waste anytime showing you the door. Very very passive aggressive behavior from the top down.
This company has a high turn over rate. Meaning they hire and fire new people quickly, don't expect to plan a retirement, because you will likely only be there for 1-3 years.
This is all the truth from a former loyal (star-eyed) employee. They did this to me. If you know, you know.
