Pros

The interview process was quick.

Cons

Virtually the entire company was going to the office during COVID. During the interview process, the hiring team was not upfront about the work hours. On my first day, I was informed that the hours were 7AM - 5PM (strictly enforced). I was reprimanded by management if I was even a few minutes late. The culture consists of time-watchers and micromanagers. No flexibility on PTO and no bereavement policy. No bonuses. The CEO sent an unprofessional email to all managers (which the entire company eventually received) about COVID and the politics behind it, even though everyone was still required to work at the office. Environment was very unprofessional - employees are belittled and back-handed comments are common. The dead mouse under my desk was the last straw.

Pros

Most tenured employees are quite talented although it is very difficult to get fired once you've been around the block a few times so there are sometimes a few duds in the mix. Given The Walsh Group's size its hard to believe it is still family owned. It feels like a small company yet has the strength and reach to pursue and win some of the most complex and interesting projects in the world. You will never be bored and you will always be learning something new while working at The Walsh Group.

Cons

Work life balance. Can be hard for some to gain the trust of management. If you do not find yourself in the good ol' boys/girls club it can be a hard climb.
