Pros

I love working at The Post! You are surrounded by incredibly smart, talented, creative and hard-working colleagues who are passionate about the work they do. It's gratifying to work for a company that is synonymous with quality and committed to uncovering the truth.

Cons

There are not a lot of cons that come to mind. It's a highly sophisticated organization that cares for its employees and asks for our feedback on a regular basis. It's a large company, but does a good job of trying to keep employees connected and aware of the work happening throughout the organization.

It can be tough for every employee within a larger company to feel appreciated and part of a larger mission. We're glad you feel appreciated, connected and part of valuable work. Thanks for being part of The Washington Post team for more than five years and counting!

Pros

- work with smart, friendly people across multiple disciplines - great work-life balance - ability to innovate and experiment constantly within your project scope - management is amenable to new ideas and thinking - work on the business side goes directly to support important work in journalism

Cons

- company priorities are not widely distilled across the organization so expect some level of iterative chaos - not a place for clear, linear career progression and promotion - there are elements of legacy corporate mindset lurking across the org - slow (perhaps deliberate) decision making at the top

Pros

The people at The Post are the best part about working there. I am always learning from my colleagues and taking on new cross-functional projects. No day is boring because the work is constantly moving and shifting.

Cons

It's a very fast-paced environment, which can make it hard to disconnect. However, leadership encourages unplugging and respects work-life boundaries.

The work we do together is exciting and fast-paced. Unplugging can be hard, but something we strongly encourage. We're glad leadership respects that and helps employees maintain good work/life harmony.
