Pros

I've had the privilege of working for the Wills Group for a little over 2 years now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best work experiences I've had. From day one, I've been welcomed into a warm and inclusive team and work culture that values diversity, collaboration, and growth. One of the standout aspects of this company is its comprehensive benefits package. Not only do the company offer competitive salaries, but the benefits extend far beyond that. From a generous retirement plan (401k) to ample vacation time and health insurance options, the company truly cares about the well-being of their employees. It's evident that they care about their employees and prioritize creating a healthy work-life balance. There's also a genuine sense of camaraderie among colleagues, and teamwork is highly encouraged. Whether you're a new hire or a seasoned employee, everyone's contributions are valued and respected. The leadership team really does foster an atmosphere where ideas are welcomed, feedback is appreciated, and collaboration is celebrated. I feel so lucky to have found a company that not only provides a fulfilling career but also cares about your well-being, fosters a positive work environment, and makes you feel recognized and appreciated!

Cons

Since the company is growing so quickly, it can result in tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. However, I am happy that the company is a stable one and experiencing growth - I view this as an opportunity for professional growth, as it challenges us to develop time management and problem-solving skills!

Pros

Positive and Dynamic Work Environment Wills Group offers a vibrant work environment characterized by dynamism, continual growth, and a strong sense of community. A typical day in the life at Wills Group is marked by its ever-evolving nature, providing employees with the opportunity to have a significant impact on processes and introduce fresh ideas. Cross-collaboration is a hallmark of our workplace, driven by the ongoing expansion of the business and a multitude of projects. This collaborative spirit ensures exposure to new systems, software, and business processes that are pivotal to career advancement. Furthermore, our company prides itself on being family-friendly, exemplified by the heartwarming sight of colleagues' little ones making appearances on Teams calls during meetings. Investing in Growth and Development Wills Group places a substantial emphasis on growth and development at all organizational levels. We are currently in the process of introducing eCornell continued learning opportunities and have established GED completion programs for our retail employees, alongside tuition reimbursement, a comprehensive library of online training resources, and a rich array of instructor-led training and development options tailored to address the ever-evolving needs of our workforce. Supportive and Effective Management In terms of management, my experience within my department has been overwhelmingly positive. Our managers exhibit a combination of flexibility, encouragement, and openness to novel concepts. They engage in frequent check-ins with employees, striking a balance that fosters collaboration without veering into micromanagement. These discussions encompass workload, project milestones, and individual development and goals, creating a supportive and constructive work environment. A Culture of Inclusivity and Community Engagement The culture at Wills Group, while occasionally labeled as cliché, genuinely reflects a strong sense of camaraderie and a deep commitment to the well-being of our employees. We offer a generous suite of benefits that consistently competes with those of even the largest corporations. Moreover, we actively encourage community involvement, allocating paid days for volunteering. Our company arranges various activities for employees, ranging from family fun days to team-building exercises, community engagement, and donation drives. Furthermore, we offer employee resource groups tailored to meet the unique needs of parents/caregivers, professional women, and soon, veterans. This reinforces our commitment to inclusivity and fostering a supportive community. Inspiring Colleagues and Impactful Employee Resource Groups The most rewarding aspect of working at Wills Group is the privilege of collaborating with an inspiring and dedicated group of individuals. The passion and commitment of our colleagues shine through, underscoring the collective drive to make this organization a great place to work for everyone. Our employee resource groups have been a particularly valuable addition, giving a voice to their members while also contributing to the internal culture and policies. These groups are instrumental in creating a meaningful impact both within our workplace and in the broader community. Thriving Amidst Organizational Growth The most challenging aspect of the job at Wills Group is the exciting phase of significant growth that the company is currently experiencing. While this phase is invigorating, it demands adaptability and the ability to stay agile. If you are someone who relishes being a part of such pivotal organizational phases but prefers the stability of a well-established company, Wills Group, with its legacy dating back to 1926, offers a compelling and rewarding environment for your career.   Overall Pros Culture, career development, dynamic work environment, great benefits, Great Place to Work certified, DEI commitment, community involvement.

Cons

Cons Not ideal for those averse to growth or change.
