      All the perks of a large company but in a start up environment

      Pros

      Working in the Santa Monica office has been an incredibly unique experience. You get the benefits and infrastructure of a larger company, but with the energy, excitement, and pride of a small startup. The office is growing incredibly fast and doesn't show signs of stopping, so there is tons of opportunity for anyone who joins to move up if they have the right skills to be client facing and the ability to manage others. The location of the office is beautiful (6 blocks from the beach) and the team is incredibly supportive.

      Cons

      Some of the clients an be very demanding and often have long days, which can require you to be on you email past normal work hours in order to service their needs

      Hi - Thank you for writing this review. We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the opportunities with the expansion of our West Coast office. While it can be frustrating at times working long hours, if this is a constant issue please speak with your manager as we can discuss options to alleviate pressure. Additionally, we have tried to ensure the bridge from NYC to LAX offices with having our new joiners in the LAX office train for two weeks in NYC which has been a great experience for those new joiners.       Pros

      - teaches great people skills - good young post-grad work environment

      Cons

      - innate distrust of employees (will check your logs to see how often/how many people you contact) - constant micromanagement (they created a mandatory tool called Capacity Management which outlines everything you do for the day down to 15 min increments) - narrows down success to one number (your target) which can be unrealistic if there's an industry downturn (like in hedgefunds now) or slow project flow. If you hit target they tell you you're doing everything perfectly, but if you don't, everything on your monthly review will say "needs improvement". - only promotes people quickly if you act as a blind "cheerleader" for the company, which is where most of these 5 star "amazing-there's-nothing-wrong" reviews are coming from

      Tons of opportunity at an early stage

      Pros

      - Fun company with great culture, management really works to maintain a collaborative and social environment - Lots of opportunities given at early stages of career with a ton of potential to grow - I got breakfast the CEO my first week starting here, unbelievable access to the management team! Super impressive and accessible.

      Cons

      - You have a lot of responsibility and a ton of tasks so it can feel slightly overwhelming - The fast-paced/target driven environment is not for everyone, it can get stressful
