Pros

CognoLink hires some of the brightest young graduates as well as experienced staff available, creating a fun, challenging and driven work environment. The interaction with Investment Professionals (our clients) is almost unrivaled in the sector. With the opening of new offices, there are great opportunities to experience different (working) cultures.

Cons

Incentive packages could be more competitive Life/work balance can be quite uneven

Pros

CognoLink is a strong option to start a career- Analysts are exposed to multiple industries and value chains on a daily basis. Having constant dialog with recognized industry leaders and some of the worlds most sophisticated investors hones effective communication skills and fosters a confidence in self presentation that few other industries can rival. Given the company is still growing at an incredibly fast rate, there is plenty of room for professional growth and advancement. As long as you work hard, manage your time effectively,be a team player, and commit to going the extra mile if necessary, you will be successful here.

Cons

-The work life balance can be off- given the demands of our clients and the global nature of our requests -There are still some organizational growing pains as backend administration tries to keep up with the growth on the floor

Pros

The New York office of CognoLink is showing such aggressive growth that it's almost impossible not to be inspired by the opportunities for new employees. Senior management is practically begging for people to prove themselves and get promoted to help with the overall goals of expanding the business and building new teams and products. Everyone is willing to help however they can in order to ensure your success - it really does feel like a team sport. The work environment is always high-energy, and although stressful at times (due to deadlines, client demands, managing your workload), generally very fun. Relaxed senior management help the research staff see the bigger issue, stressing important factors (such as adherence to compliance standards) over day-to-day fire alarm situations. The exposure you receive to different clients, specialists (include C-level executives at many of the largest corporations worldwide), and cultural differences (given CognoLink's offices in New York, New Delhi, Shanghai and Hong Kong) is definitely a selling point. After 1 year at CognoLink, you will be able to talk to anyone about anything.

Cons

Due to the growing nature of the company, the work-life balance has not yet been achieved. Given the number of clients CognoLink is currently supporting, the research staff is nearly constantly spread thin. Although there is a performance metric in place tied directly to monthly bonuses, the research staff is still largely underpaid.
