Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your time at ThoughtSpot didn’t reflect the environment we strive to build. We’re proud of the great people you called out—especially our hiring managers—and are glad you found value in our health benefits. That said, the concerns you’ve raised, particularly around layoffs, leadership, and inclusion, are serious and not taken lightly. While we know we’re not perfect, we’ve taken steps over the past year to improve communication, strengthen leadership accountability, and foster a culture rooted in trust, intensity, innovation, and customer obsession. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or bias, and we encourage anyone—past or present—to report issues so we can take appropriate action. Feedback, even the tough kind, pushes us to do better. If you're open to it, we’d welcome a conversation to learn more.

Pros

The product road maap is solid, the newer versions show potential during all the demos that I have seen. The benefits are ok not the best in the world but are not disappointing as well. The leadership is flexible with your location to some extent and you get to work in an hybrid model and doesn't need you to be in the office

Cons

The best work culture is seen when you are looking at the engineering team in the organisation, they get all the praise and accolades. Your experience in this org will be decided based on the leader that you are working with. My team had an amazing leader earlier but after he left rather than hiring new leader the leadership gave the department to another internal person who doesn't know nor desires to understand anything about the processes that we are working on. And I have seen this happening a lot in the 2 years that I have been here. Layoffs are common phenomenon in the IT world these days so won't target Thoughtspot on that front however what's problematic is that people are not given an option to take a look at other opportunities from different departments rather they are just let go. Favouritism is a common theme that you will find in a lot of reviews and I would say that it's a truth at Thoughtspot, it doesn't matter how hard you work but things will go the way the favourite child would say irrespective of how dumb or counter productive they are.
