      Good old boys club

      Pros

      At first the culture they promise seems real. They are quick to bring you into the fold. You will feel like family.

      Cons

      They change process and ideas all the time without communicating it down to front line managers and employees. Each Gear of the business just cares about their KPIs. Leadership team is a good old boys club that does not like to be challenged. Worst part is that they openly say if you can't get someone to figure it out in 3 months, just firing them. This business takes 6 to 8 months before you know it well. Epically+ when the training program is awful. They keep their front-line managers so busy that they cannot successful. Structure of the company is set up to fail.

      Could have a worse job...

      Company culture, Flexibility in schedule, overall positive community reputation

      Cons

      Unrealistic sales goals, Kill or be killed management style. Lack of accountability from middle management.

      The need to scare your customers

      Pros

      the brotherhood created with the other SDS, helping people fix their homes.

      Cons

      High turnover because of management setting your personal goals above anything the company has ever achieved and than holding you to it, and when you do not hit them they let you go. You have to upsell every appointment you are on, Owners losing site of helping communities for large profits. Price point of projects is always higher than anyone else doing the same work.

Our Wichita team does an incredible job of living out our “One Community” value of giving back, as they showed last year through many acts, but making the largest donation of snacks for the Ronald McDonald house is one example. This is also why this location won our “One Community Award” for 2023.
