Pros

Autonomy over your schedule Representing a Christian membership organization Competitive products Ability to build your practice the way you want

Cons

Insurance company where your short and long term success depends on your ability to sell insurance to your "natural market" (friends and family). No salary - commission only Unlimited upside seems nice, but even so the commission is better at other companies (assuming identical case size)

Pros

Pay is not bad, especially when you are in the right location ( not Appleton). Less pressure than a public traded company, for now.

Cons

lawyers running the company. Chief executive officer - Lawyer Chief Human Resources officer - Lawyer Chief Investment Officer - Lawyer* couldn’t figure this one out until I saw the form 990. Company no longer feels like a fraternal.
