Pros

Remote work from home since employees refused to return to the office. Most stated they would quit than go back to the office. Thrivent listened.

Cons

Thrivent has lost clients every year for at least the last 15 consecutive years so annual raises are typically 3% which does not keep up with inflation. Some teams received an actual pay decrease from 2020 to 2023.

Pros

Good benefits for retirement. They want to change and grow.

Cons

Health benefits are not that great. The company is not replacing key roles in the organization. Sales are down and they are cutting costs.

Pros

People are pretty nice here. I worked quite flexibly.

Cons

The way to get a head is having the right last name, lots of unfair treatment around promotions. The fraternal tax status should be taken away after what I saw- money isn't used to better communities, it's used for recruiting and sales. They brand themselves as a not-for-profit and they use money that should be taxes to enrich themselves. I felt dirty working there.
