      Pros

      Good people, benefits, remote work are the main Pros of working here.

      Cons

      The work environment is difficult with various directions on existing projects. Seems there is not a single vision for systems and this leads to conflict and a lack of desire for individuals to assist between departments and often tenured individuals have knowledge of how obscure systems work but will not assist due to fear of losing influence. Makes for a very stressful environment and many hurdles to complete basic tasks.

      Love working at Thrivent

      Pros

      Thrivent has a great training program for new advisors of any age. They provide a large amount of support to be successful and build a practice. The engagement managers that support the advisors help with prospecting and holding events. Thrivent provides numerous educational and giving events through out the year for clients and members to take advantage of - quarterly economic updates, retirement planning, Long Term Care Myths vs Facts Thrivent offers free budget and cash flow coaching sessions to make sure everyone has access to resources to help with managing their income, spending and saving for goals. Diversity is very important to Thrivent through hiring minorities at all levels as well as having an office at the Urban League to be more accessible to everyone in the area.

      Cons

      I have not come across any cons at this point, almost two years in as an advisor.
