Pros
Stores, product and company are amazing. Health benefits are fantastic! Senior management is very professional. I truly enjoyed my interactions with them. Most of the sales team on the floor were great. Exceptional team members are rewarded with opportunities. If you do well, you can move easily from store to store to move up within the company.
Cons
Hourly pay is better than most retailers, but in expensive cities, it is still not enough. You are expected to toe the company line and not be too honest. The store I worked at was always understaffed due to folks being on medical leave or someone calling in sick almost daily. It created a bit of a hectic environment. It is a small store. Initially, schedules were made for a week at a time--making it very difficult to make plans. The management team at this particular store were never properly trained to manage staff--and it showed. I had been trained in management before and some of the things that were allowed to occur surprised me a great deal. No consequences for staff that had been there for a while. Training is mostly conducted online. There is quite a bit of it, which is good, but management at this store would admonish you for not knowing something or for not doing something fast enough. No encouragement--only reprisals. I never would treat staff this way. I quit due to poor in-store management.
