Bizarre experience that defies logic, business rules, and general common sense

Pros

EMN8 had a very solid direction with regards to a real customer need and a supporting technical architecture. At one point, long ago, the people made up a large part of the 'WOW!' factor. The pay and benefits were 'good' comparative to the industry.

Cons

Leadership is non-existent. Worse, what is there is counter-productive ranging from petty politics to gross incompetence. Decisions are not made and are instead left to "paralysis by analysis." The hospitality industry knows about EMN8's past and is using them for their willingness to blindly invest millions without expecting to ever repay them with future business. Overall, a misguided train wreck that is certain to collapse under its own debt load...

Pros

The technology that Emn8 is creating will change the way we interact with the fast food and quick service industry. Automation is truly the future and Emn8 has what could be the best technology in the business compared to the competition. But that's where it ends.

Cons

In one word, Management. The Senior Management staff is in over their heads when it comes to technology. Not one senior manager has a background in technology and it is for this reason, the company continues to struggle and make poor business choices. Additionally, the working conditions are somewhat harsh. Yelling and screaming at individuals does not belong in the workplace. There does not seem to be a good balance between home and work schedules.

It won't be around for long

Pros

The biggest one is that each day ends. That sounds bad I know, but that really is the best part about working here. There is opportunity for somebody technically strong to come in and make a difference if they can get past the politics and infighting. The pay is reasonable but they should give you hazard pay if you have to deal with senior management.

Cons

It is like working in an active warzone. You never know when a fight will break out or when you will be yelled at. The company is trying to turn a profit and at this point they are about willing to do anything including customizing the product to the point that any measure of scale will be unattainable. The last CEO over the Atlanta division had some vision, but he is pretty checked out.
