Pros

Hard working staff. Nice new physical environment to work in. Service staff is knowledgeable and the team is very customer centric.

Cons

Regional Leadership through forced intimidation towards GMs cause them to steal from their sales staff to meet their quotas creating animosity. Elementary impersonal phone scripts for sales. Top sellers of the company should be exempt from script. If the script is not correctly spewed on shopped calls you get to go for a training held by someone who can't out sell you, after shop hours . Your already 13 hour day turns into 15 hours away from your family. Love the punishment for a job well done.

Thank you for your review, we truly appreciate your gift of feedback. Tire Discounters prides itself on outstanding customer service to our customers AND our employees. We understand how you feel about the phone script and have heard similar comments from newer associates. What we have discovered over our 40 years is that the phone script keeps our selling associates on track and never intended for it to be simply read. We just want to make sure selling associates cover the values that separate us from the competition. We have also taken note of your other concerns and will be addressing those internally. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your concerns. For future discussion we encourage you to reach out to your direct manager or HR representative so someone can champion concerns on your behalf.

Pros

Sundays off, pretty much it...

Cons

Where do I start? They're con people. They told me as a tire tech i could make up to $13/hour plus commission, which sounds good... except you start at $9/hour which is lower than what the sales reps make, it takes over a year to get to $13/hour (T5), and the "commission" they promise is basically non existent for tire techs. I talked to one of the T5s at my store and he said all year he'll make about $600 in commission, that mechanics and sales reps are really the ones who get it. There are no breaks, you can just get a snack every now and then when you want, no where to sit, and no break rooms.
