Pros

As a sales floor associate you get your regular paycheck and also a commission bonus that starts out at 6%.

Cons

Very poorly managed. If the service manager thinks she might make an extra dime she will completely pile up the work orders for that day knowing there won't be time to get it all done, and then the sales associate is left to deal with the angry customer just because the service manager is greedy. At the location where I worked the mechanics were supposedly certified but tore up more than they fixed.

Thank you for the five-star review. We’re glad to hear you love working here and find your work fun and challenging. Our Home Office team exists to support our stores, which are open Monday-Saturday, so it’s important we have a team of people available to provide that support when our stores are open. Thank you for sharing your input regarding a flexible work schedule. We value your feedback and will share your suggestion with the leadership team. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad you’re a part of the TD family.

Pros

TD is a place that rewards those who put in the time and effort to become successful. There are constantly new opportunities for advancement as the company continues to grow, and expand to new markets.

Cons

The automotive industry will always be stuck in it's own ways. With that said, some seem to want to stick with the "old way of doing things" and not change with the current social climate. employees at the in-store level are slow and resistant to change.

Thank for the review! From the beginning, Chip, our founder and CEO, instilled in his team a sense of pride in hard work and dedication to providing outstanding customer service. Today, Tire Discounters remains a successful family-owned business because we hire the best people and work harder than anyone else. Many employees have been with us their entire careers, so while the company continues to grow, they remember what it was like to be a TD employee when we only had a handful of stores. Now that Tire Discounters has over 120 locations our structure and processes are adapting to meet the needs of a larger company, but we’re still that same family-owned business that’s dedicated to treating our customers and employees like family. Thanks again for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you’re a part of the TD family.
