Pros

They do provide good pay for mechanics. No flag hours but a percentage of the total ticket parts and labor. No one else even thinks about paying mechanics parts too. If you're a mechanic and can't make money here you either aren't that good or aren't motivated to look over every car even if it is a flat repair. (maybe they NEED brakes or an axle boot is torn.) Sales can make good money after tenure and you have a customer base. Yes, it's 7.50/hr but the commission adds up quick. It is easy to make 500 plus dollars in only commission a week when you have clientele. Management can be paid very well if they run the store well and are profitable. The guy that stated no benefits I guess can't read. I have better benefits than any dealer I was a service adviser for. Insurance, 401k and all. I worked my way up from the bottom and now after college I am paid usually 2x more than those I graduated with.

Cons

Long hours, but if you want to make money and grow a business that's part of the game. Get over it. Too many layers of management. Need a better diagnostic system than just a snap on solus. A Genisis system would be nice.

Pros

umm, not many!!! Only good for beginning mechanics to start as general service/tire tech to learn(if motivated to learn).

Cons

A whole lot. I am a mechanic there on flat rate. 75% of work you do is free and not paid!! If you are a "commisioned" employee how can they not pay you for work performed. What does that have to do with me. I just want to get paid PROPERLY for the work I do. I can go on and on, but think of this, not ONCE have i ever been paid for putting in an air filter. Tire techs get paid a commision on air filters but i dont?
