Pros

None. It started off horribly with the first interview (that wasn’t even the hiring manager) tell me I needed to pitch their product to them without knowing anything about their pos system.

Cons

It’s a prissy startup that expects you to literally cold calling every restaurant around u and HOPE you can get their business. Just don’t even bother, I promise it’s not worth it.

Mandatory C-19 Vax

Pros

Lost all respect after this so I don’t have a ton to say. Great product for the industry. Unfortunate employees are leaving left and right.

Cons

Toast prides themselves on being inclusive…Be yourself! We accept everyone as is! My body my choice! Unless you have different opinions than upper management. Making the vax a requirement was a bold statement that you truly don’t feel that way and want to push your own ideologies. It was the last straw for me and I found another company that is truly inclusive and respects ALL decisions regarding our bodies. As a field rep, yes, it was optional…”unless I want to attend in person team events such as a QBR or kickoff where proof of V will be required.” Wow, great team culture there, and calling out/segregating because of our personal choices. Talk about history repeating itself. I can’t stomach the thought.

Thank you for sharing this perspective. The decision to mandate vaccines was not made lightly. Toasters represent many different backgrounds, belief systems, cultures, and environments. We’ve always celebrated that diversity, and we recognize that for some, the news of this decision was welcome, and for others, it was difficult. In the end, we made the decision that we felt would best protect our employees and their families, give them flexibility where possible, and help us live our mission of empowering the restaurant community. I'm always happy to continue the conversation, so please don't hesitate to reach out. - Mike Gutner, VP of People and Organizational Success

Pros

Great co-workers Sometimes food is provided when in office

Cons

Terrible Management who don't even understand the system No Bonuses No opportunities to grow in the company Low pay for high amounts of work Very stressful environment Overly complicated system Clients are always upset because of the lack of help given to them because technical support specialists have so much on their plate and the system is too complicated for clients to understand. Implementation team puts their work off onto service Technical Support Specialists are figuratively chained to their desks all day
