      - The company has built a strong, values-driven culture and actively works to preserve and strengthen it as the organisation grows - Managers are approachable, teams are collaborative, and work-life balance is genuinely respected with reasonable expectations around working hours - There is good exposure to real projects, and employees are trusted with ownership and responsibility - Code reviews are thorough and taken seriously, which helps maintain high engineering standards and encourages knowledge sharing across the team

      Cons

      - As the company continues to grow, many processes are still being set up or refined, which can occasionally slow execution

      Solid Foundation - But Some Cracks Showing

      Pros

      Toast is well-positioned as the market leader and has the best product on the market. This foundation was built from the early days and some big tailwinds for the business. Toast generally has great people who treat each other well, though there are exceptions as there are with any company. Overall, if you are looking for a good company with a great product - Toast isn’t a bad fit!

      Cons

      Executive leadership has struggled over the past couple years. There lacks a clear vision and priorities can shift literally day to day. If they weren’t so well-positioned already, I’d say this would be a significant worry about the future of the company. Given the market dynamics, it would take a village of idiots to bring down Toast.
