      Great place to learn Great founders/CEO Excellent team camaraderie/friendships

      Highly political Hire based off on how people look "on paper" Hired externally vs. growing existing employees into leadership positions Layoffs kind of ruined everything

      Pros

      Working for Toast was an absolute dream job for me. I loved working with all the people there, everyone was very collaborative and friendly and the work environment was laid back and easy going. I have so much gratitude for my colleagues there.

      Cons

      Working in Chicago with a main headquarters in Boston made communication a bit difficult. In addition, the payroll product was clunky and it seemed like a completely separate arm of the company with completely separate processes.

      -People and culture -Great product - Great vision -Amazing leadership

      -Salaries can be more competitive, however I’m not sure if that’s changed for the better in the past year
