Pros

Exciting work, close relationships, good products, great culture

Cons

Very small chance of advancement. Training is excellent but some one has to "die" or leave before one can move up. To much inside politics required for advancement

Pros

Good employer to work for, especially for the semiconductor industry. Generally great people to work with. Good products that you are proud to stand behind. Pay is good if you are in the right place at the right time and know the right people. Way to much polotics especially for pay.

Cons

No real promotion opportunities unless you are willing to relocate, especially to the Austin HQ. Field engineers have a stigma and can be treated poorly by many, even when they are being told they are the front lines of the company and so important. Negative FE stigma from managers. I have an Bachelors degree in Engineering from a major university and had a manager explain to me what engineering paper is. Really?
