Pros

It's a medium-sized non-profit which means its quite established and that it has a strong profile in the community. The work they do is great and a lot of the people who work there really believe in the mission. There are a lot of folks that have stayed there a long time, different than other non-profits I've worked in.

Cons

The organization has a lot of different arms which means it can struggle to effectively manage all that it's doing. There's high turnover among front-line staff which means its not uncommon to have to cover shifts or for things to slip. Pay in a lot of the departments is pretty low, even though there are sometimes benefits and bonuses to help with that. Typical non-profit problem, not enough to go around.
