Pros
Paid training, at minimum wage. Free uniforms, and cold weather gear. Easy job depending on job site.
Cons
People working at Top Guard are kind of sketchy. There's employees who constantly do not show up to work on time, and they don't seem to do much about it. Sites with only one guard at a time require you to wait for a relief, which can take hours at a time. You get paid over-time, but sometimes it gets annoying. I'd work a 8 hour shift, only to find out 15 minutes after shift that the person called out, or just plain didn't answer their phone. When people call out the people in dispatch will call and ask for you to come in, and if you cannot do it they try to guilt you into it. The ladies that work dispatch are kind of rude about it too. Overall most sites seem to be a joke. Employees get their required training, and get hung out to dry sometimes.
