Great people, great team and processes. No transparency! A place to learn
Pros
Great people, great teammates and mentors, and structured processes for product building. It was one of the places I most enjoyed, learned, and grew professionally and personally. Has/had a vast diversity of people's origins and cultures, at least in the managers and general employees, a lot of knowledge sharing. It was kind of one of my dream jobs before joining, and the parts that caused me to create that dream were the parts I lived there and accomplished.
Cons
C-Level and executives, no sense decisions. There was too much expended on marketing. Compensation is below the market, and it is almost impossible to get the benefits that matter. They hired many people for months even when it wasn't truly necessary, and a few weeks after it stopped, they started laying off randomly tons of engineers when the features became stable. However, there was no sign of it coming. There is no transparency about employees' job situations and or salary ranges, as the career process said. 'A hypergrowth company, as they called it, with consistent profit margins regularly shared to all employees.' The career progress structure changes every few months, and it is almost impossible to progress further unless you have good contacts.
