      product is the last priority. massive layoffs, terrible morale

      Pros

      really creative environment when i started several years ago it has been going swiftly downhill.

      Cons

      hundreds of competing priorities all of which are given the same importance. top, top leadership can't prioritize. collections are continually reworked and dropped. design, pd, factories are burnt out. label has gotten away form it's roots and is trying to be too fashion and too trendy. business is down as a result. buddy culture is a load of crap. they say they have these lofty values and they promote people turning on each other, backstabbing, running to HR. HR is the worst.

      Pros

      The company had good intentions when it began. They valued what was called the "Buddy values" honesty - integrity - hard work. People were able to honestly communicate about the product and what needed to happen for it to sell.

      Cons

      There are no "Buddy valuesl left at thIs company. HR department is deceitful and does not hold confidence. The company spent too much money and then let many good employees go on December 8, 2 weeks before Christmas. Everyone is out for themselves - including people at the top.

      Amazing individuals were laid off yesterday at Tory Burch stores. I've never been so disgusted by a company I've worked for. There was no need to completely eliminate positions and not offer individuals a different opportunity.
