Pros

Great People, dedicated, hard working and all have the desire to contribute and work to make the company shine and be profitable. Talented with commitment to the company.

Cons

Focused only on PC with all other product groups getting little support. Trapped in managing all areas thru Japan and their antiquated processes that move to slow for he CE industry. Low morale as the senior management does very little to improve the work environment. Willing to force employees to either take it as is or you can head out the door.

Pros

?????? still looking. people are complacent so there is not a lot of pressure. certain individuals focus their energy on anything but being a manager. Why is this a Pro? Well, for one thing, this alleviates a lot of the pressure since these managers do all the work and is highly unlikely to share their jobs for fear of their own demise.

Cons

Condescending Managers Managers who are worker bees rather than being managers. Much like all corporate, information is power. Hiring process stinks They don't promote the right people within they bring in people who don't know what they are doing to "get a new perspective" Some directors are as incompetent as the offices they sit in we think we are a real company, but all it is a sales operation product people are not empowered. directors and VPs who think they are managers the only reason people work here now is because there are few opportunities out there. as soon as the job market gets better, then can kiss all the good and loyal employees goodbye never trust a smile from anyone. 99.99% are lemmings...no one dares to speak their minds for fear of being ridiculed in front of a group of your peers. There is NEVER a moment that I feel good about this place because of the management WHAT A JOKE!

Pros

Its a great place to work... if one is looking to retire here. When one reaches a certain age group, lots of good retirement benefits are available. If one find the right group to hide under, even without completing any projects, it is possible to last forever here. The system is also heavily protective of poor performers.

Cons

There are no innovative products being developed here anymore. Everything comes out of Japan, and every little piece of information is treated like a secret, even to the US employees. The company is heavily age biased. The older one gets, the better one is treated and more likely to get the promotion. The only way to get a promotion is to petition (or complain and whine). The performance raise system is heavily skewed towards bad performers. The good performers are actually penalized in certain cases. The HR does not let one know the reason unless you press them. Marketing team doesn't understand the requirements and are forever pointing fingers at engineering.
