Pros

-Total Expert, like many of the employees there have one speed. That is for some people, that isn't for all people all of the time. -The feeling that you are a part of something that is bigger than yourself (hey you can chose weather or not to believe it) -Hearing the passion that Joe has will make you want to run through a brick wall. -Good pay. -Fun problem solving -Saw loads of people promoted from within, change roles within the company.

Cons

-Fantastic product, but was buggy and complex, leads to stress in customer facing roles. -Lost the weekly $25 Foodsby credit along the way, miss that.

Pros

I found the pay and benefits to be surprisingly good. There are a lot of hard-working people at TE. The people I worked with were great at thinking on their feet and knew the product inside and out. Most folks were enjoyable to work with and there are many who are truly wonderful people to know. Work remotely. Would still be best for anyone out of state in my opinion, as leadership hasn’t clearly communicated any future plans and the environment progressively felt more pressurized toward being in the office. Team members were always ready and available to help if anyone needed. Great support net.

Cons

The team I worked with did have some toxic tendencies. There was a lot of whispering behind management’s back, management talks of “rumor mills” spinning about specific employees, and gossip following the many quarterly layoffs that happened in my short time with the company. This made for an extremely uncomfortable work environment day to day, and gave some employees long term anxiety over job security, despite being repeatedly assured by management that there was nothing to be worried about. Professional development will appear to be a priority on the surface, but conversations about this always got delayed anywhere from 2-4 weeks past what was originally targeted. When they did happen, my manager mostly walked through what we’d written in evaluations, and I wished this had been more of an open conversation. Skip level meetings regularly get rescheduled multiple times. We were less to believe that these would be more regular. Product often doesn’t quite do what clients need, and sales over-promises on features that don’t exist yet. This causes problems for projects. IMs can only take goals so far - at some point the product silo needs to prioritize features of client interest, rather than features for further financial gain. Company lacks any sort of diversity committee, or any focus on that piece of company culture. At least during my tenure I did not see a single diversity initiative. This can be discouraging for some.

Pros

Pay is good. I have a hunch that some people are reviewing that the pay should be better just to try to get the company to give higher raises. Pay is at least on par in my opinion for me. HR has seemed to work hard doing their part to make the work environment enjoyable and I appreciate that. There are some good people here who work hard and support their team. It could be worse.

Cons

Recent layoffs. 2 layoffs in the last year kind of have people on edge it seems. I just sort of have this weird feeling that its not over either. Something doesn’t add up there with leadership rationale about it. Not a fan of the newer leadership in general (since 2022 ish). Meetings feel disingenuous to me and some others I have chatted with. Some cronyism going on. Unlimited vacation is a joke. Some people take too much and others take next to none. I’ve seen vacation shaming from a couple leaders in particular.
