Pros

Benefits and an alright pay check every 2 weeks for the 1st year guaranteed if you just hit your call metrics. which is not hard

Cons

no work/life balance. All leads are HORRIBLE! there are literally THOUSANDS of leads yes. But they have been called by EVERY OTHER BROKER in the company. id say about 99% of them have requested to NEVER BE CALLED AGAIN. There is HUGE FAVORITISM. If they like you, they will give you a huge account. if they don't you are left to the wolves. theres a reason why there is 98% turnover rating at TQL. The ones who succeed are GIVEN the customers they need to make them money until other customers call in for help.

Pros

At TQL, you get exactly what you put into it. With 6-12 months of hard work at the beginning, you can build a long, prosperous future at TQL. The Indy office lives the work hard, play hard motto. We have fun doing our job, making all the hard work enjoyable. The industry is exciting and fast paced, which always keeps you on your toes. It's a great job for young people looking to accelerate their earnings and establish a career quickly. The Indy office provides excellent access to regular coaching and training so employees can always take advantage of opportunities to improve. This includes a professional group for Women in the Industry as well.

Cons

There is no sitting around. If you want a job that lets you kick back and relax, TQL is not the place for you. The job involves long hours for at least your first year, but the greater the effort, the greater the reward. The job can be stressful, and employees do take calls outside of business hours, so their is no turning the job off.

Pros

TQL is my first job out of school, you start off with 2 weeks of extensive training both in the classroom and out on the sales floor. This training will help teach you the ins and outs of the Logistics industry. Over the next 4-5 months you will be training under an established broker. You will learn there account along with the accounts of the employees around you. This will help you learn all the different parts of the industry and where you would like to grow your business. Once you have a good grip of the software and understanding of the industry you will begin calling out and learning the most effective ways to cold call clients and provide them will there transportation needs. After your first 4-5 months you will have a clear understanding of the industry and how to build your clientele. There will also be some time back in the training room to learn some sales techniques from the trainers. After you have completed the training and 4-5 months of learning the in and outs of the industry you will be a Logistics Account Executive. As a Logistics Account Executive you can earn uncapped commission, if you are ready to work hard and build your business up you can make over 100k +. Your commission is 25% and in this industry that is high, also the fact that you can start earning commission right after your 6 months there is a HUGE PLUS. There used to be a draw which took longer to make commission, but that is NO LONGER the case. Once you have an established account you will be able to train a new hire and have them work on your account for the 4-5 months that they are learning the industry. You will also be able to teach them your sales techniques along with the trainers. There are opportunities to move up with the company, first is either a Sales group Leader or a prospecting captain. Then after that is a Sales Team Leader where you will manage a number of brokers and new hires. Then after that you can become an office Manager. With growing locations throughout the United States you can apply wherever you feel comfortable and also once you are established you can have the opportunity to open your own office and or move to another location. I have been here for 4 years and have no interest in going anywhere. We have a number of team events and sportscenter on replay throughout the office. The environment is face paced and high energy.

Cons

Growing your business is not easy and requires a lot of hard work, it is not for everyone. If you are a money motivated and hard working individual this is your chance at a life changing job. You do have to work an occasional Saturday but it is only from 8am-noon. This can be a good time to get your leads ready for the following week.
