      Fun atmosphere but long hours and low pay

      Pros

      Good office Culture. Good coworkers and training. You can learn a lot about the industry. Beautiful office in the heart of downtown.

      Cons

      Terrible work-life balance. Cold calling gets old. It really all boils down to you getting lucky and having a company trust you with their freight. Lying to truckers all day gets old. The draw system makes it nearly impossible to every make money here. I watched one of the most successful brokers in the office leave due to shady practices from management.

      Pros

      If you put in the time and hard work, there's no limit on the amount of money you can make. What other job can you double your salary in a year? Triple it the year after? None! That's why this is a career, not just a job! I've been here now 2 years and yes have doubled my salary. The skies the limit.

      Cons

      This isn't a place where you come sit back, slack off and expect to make it. Those are the people that don't make it and want to give TQL a bad name because of their lack of effort. It takes a strong person with drive and motivation to make it in this industry. You have to have thick skin. But the end result is so worth it.

      Pros

      TQL is a great company to work for! The opportunities are endless when it comes to working here. You get exactly what you put into this place - meaning, if you put in 20%, you're only going to get 20% back. If you work your tail off & give it 100%, you're going to get 100% back. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Good things will take time! To work at TQL, you don't need much experience in the industry at all. You will get 6 months of hands-on training. The training is very thorough & will teach you everything you need to know about the industry. The energy on the floor is incredible! As soon as you come in you will hear everyone working very hard. I've been with the company for a little over 3 years & it has definitely changed my life.

      Cons

      There aren't too many cons considering the amount of money you can make here. Yes, you will get phone calls 24/7 - nights, weekends and holidays. The job is VERY stressful at times, but TQL really knows how to treat their employees to Happy Hours/Patio Parties and Beer Friday's to ease that stress.
