Pros

Still feel like you're doing research, except get to work on many different interesting projects--it's never boring. Pay is good and rarely need to work on weekends or after hours. Get to work with operators, specialists, other engineers, equipment team, and yield team.

Cons

TSSA building is dated and a bit depressing. Company culture is lacking: Some employees have bad attitudes. It's difficult to make close friends.

Pros

Overtime is almost always available. 3 and 4 day weekends if you aren't constantly called to work OT. Decent benefits. A lot of walking.

Cons

Extremely toxic/verbally abusive management. Seeing/hearing verbal abuse of co-workers, seeing co-workers crying was a daily occurrence. If you get hurt on the job, they will do everything in their power to get out of paying for workers comp. Bad/non-existent emergency management for chemical/exhaust leaks, fires, etc. Complaints of working in exhaust were largely ignored. Night shift maintenance techs overworked, underpaid, massively stressed out and treated poorly by day shift maintenance and management. Walking, lifting, bending, twisting, for 11 hours.
