      Dedicated Manager Coodinators, but horribly organized company policies

      Pros

      Fun work environment, nerdy and educational atmosphere, outdoor field work, teaching kids about the wilderness

      Cons

      Teaching large groups of kids, some of who have death wishes, Upper management organization and communication is almost non-existant, lack of incentive to continue working with competetive wages (i.e. if a bus driver is making more hourly than and combined TC and bus driver, why would we want to come back or work year round??)

      I just wanna say look at the reviews of this place. Half are horrible, half are great. Which means that the company is writing reviews to balance out the rating. For all of us who suffered the abuse from working here, it’s obvious through the lingo of good reviews it’s coming from management. This place is a joke and unsafe. Stay away. S T A Y A W A Y

Trackers Earth has a clear mission to help get more kids learning and experiencing the natural world, not just for today but for the next generation. While we know the work his hard when you are out in the outdoors with youth, we know there are rewarding and amazing experiences that happen for campers and staff. And, our focus on safety is a top priority. That is why we have had all of our staff participate in a required safety and quality program prior to starting at camps. We hope others reading this realize that our goal is safety, fun, adventure, and being the best you can every day when interacting and working with kids. However, working with Trackers is not for everyone. We appreciate the time you spent working with us and we do hope that you find the next adventure that works better for you going forward.       A vary fun job

      Pros

      You're likely to enjoy the people you're working with and love what you do. I can all but guarantee your time here will be a positive and memorable experience. It's one of the funniest job you'll ever have! you'll learn a lot while you're working there however the pay ceiling is very low. The camp is whatever you want to make it. It could be anywhere from Wilderness survival training to playtime in the woods as long as they have fun. Remember at the end of the day you are working in childcare. If you're a fast improviser, have patience, empathy, and a fun personality you will thrive! I would advise against taking any positions above lead guide. The burnout rate is very high in those positions for good reason. leave while its fun!

      Cons

      The owner is a total self righteous narcissist with a heavy scoop of short man syndrome. Does not treat women with fairness. But don't worry you don't need to see him that often if at all. but I feel for the guy.. Benefits are hard to get. You are replaceable. No matter how long you work there or how good your reputation is, you are a name on a spreadsheet and you are replaceable! The company's obsessed with its image in the community that's just about the only thing that will get you fired. Communication is much better than it used to be but still not amazing. Once Upon a Time this place is really hardcore you might hear some crazy stories I can testify they are probably true.
