Upper management focused on Wall Street, Financials are everything. Middle management cover up issues as to not bring these to upper leadership.

Many store managers are lazy so it’s hard to motivate the front end team members to do task. Managers seem to hang out in the back warehouse area. Trying to motivate employees to help customers and do the essentials of recovery and restocking is difficult because they look at how lazy the managers are. I respect the standard operating practices for Tractor Supply, but it’s hard to implement them when managers are lazy and favor certain team leads. I am speaking from an assistant manager position where I worked hard, but my effort was not rewarded in pay.
