Pros

Good gym, locker room, and awesome coworkers

Cons

As mentioned by many former employees, TrainingPeaks higher ups tend to shrug off suggestions by their customer base and lower employees. Instead they come up with "features" that no one asked for and never address simple issues with the platform that people have been asking to get added/fixed for years. Most high reviews on this site are either from execs, or people who haven't worked there long enough to see that TP is literally their own undoing. Turnover is high and the workload is too great for individual employees given their low rate of pay. Would not recommend if looking for job security or position advancement.

Thanks for your review and feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the facilities on our Boulder Campus and the company of our amazing employees. We are sorry to hear that you didn't feel seen and heard within the company and didn't have a clear path for growth. As an organization we have worked hard over the last few months to completely build out new frameworks for every single position within the company. These new frameworks show clear growth paths for individual roles and demonstrate areas for advancement. We also went through a compensation review where we gathered data across state and industry to make sure we are meeting the industry standard for each position. Thank you for your honest feedback, it helps us listen, learn and grow as a company and thank you for your contribution to TrainingPeaks. We wish you the best in your new endeavors.

Pros

Benefits, on-site workout facility, cool industry

Cons

As a relatively new employee, I am shocked that there are so few woman that work here. There doesn't seem to be any women in management. In addition, I was told that TrainingPeaks values and encourages work life balance, but I haven't seen that as a reality.

Pros

Flexible work environment for working remote based on a system of trust. Dedicated WFH every Tuesday. Nice company perks like discounts on bike gear, catered lunches, and onsite beer taps. Senior engineers were very talented and experienced and were generally available to provide feedback and insight. Great place to take on more than just an engineering role as there was always other opportunities to contribute outside of delivering code (develop soft skills). Loved the people I worked with. Transparent C suite and direct access to CEO.

Cons

As an engineer there were limiting projects that required fewer devs than were actually around - too many cooks in the kitchen as one would say. Lack of direction that seemed to stem from either the product team or upper management which highly impeded engineering outcomes and deliverables. Starting one project, pausing, starting, pausing again, then dropping to work on another project quickly became exhaustive. As with the other reviews management seemingly shrugged off suggestions and feedback that could help improve processes and time to delivery. Lots of talk on where things were going but was slow to actually happen if they did.

We are sorry to hear that you didn't feel challenged and engaged on your team. We are always open to hearing feedback and concerns from employees and wish you had felt comfortable seeking assistance from either your manager or the HR team. We are open to working with each employee to make sure they are getting what they need out of their role and feel their contributions to the team.
