Operations Overseer is killing the company

Pros

Hmmm...they slowly have gotten rid of every single one. But I hear a new cool office might open one day.

Cons

- Every single benefit has been culled in favor of a "rewards" system that is ill-defined (probably purposefully so they can justify not giving anyone a bonus). - Operations overseer has killed the growth ability of anyone in the company. - Everyone who knows the product, cares about the product, or both, has either been fired or forced to quit. - Voice of employees is rarely asked for or listened to. - Middle Management acts as an advocate for their reports until it is time for the growth review, at which point they step on your necks and try to make you grateful that they eventually take their foot off. - Woefully understaffed due to these issues and the fact that the compensation is laughable, both in the industry and in the region. - A focus on the wrong product direction.

Thank you for your feedback. The last 15 months have been an unprecedented and difficult time for companies globally. Many changes had to be made to ensure the viability of the company. While not all were easy changes or popular business decisions, they were deemed essential based on our current view of a continually evolving situation. As we move forward, adjustments will be assessed and modifications will be made as necessary. We are sorry to hear that you weren't pleased with your management during your time here and wish you had felt comfortable coming to Human Resources to discuss any issues that may have arisen. We have an open door policy and strive to assist in creating the best work environment possible for our employees. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Good work/life balance, management is easy to work with, the company values getting outside and living our purpose, friendly co-workers make for a great overall vibe, company has a growth mindset, working on some really exciting improvements to our product and offerings.

Cons

Pay is good but not great, committed to an in-office culture (when COVID is behind us), the company uses a growth framework tool for measuring growth and it feels quite subjective and arbitrary - this framework was meant to help employees see how they can grow, but instead it just feels like a waste of time that doesn't actually help you understand what is needed to move up in title or salary.
