Pros
With my position I was able to travel around the United States and had discretion over my schedule. This is NOT normal for the company but it was for my position. I had an excellent base salary with a bonus and company car. I was able to live in Charlotte, Chicago, San Diego and travel to other beautiful places such as San Francisco, Denver and Seattle. Again, this was more specific for my position.
Cons
Typical corporation where you are just another cog in the wheel. Being in the field, I was primarily remote so I was isolated. Take it as you will; I enjoyed it for some time but eventually realized a strong company culture in the field is important.
