Pros

Couple nice people that really want to succeed because they feel it's their last option.

Cons

* Constant lying to recruits to get them to watch a video and sign up * Bullying tactics of making a recruit feel worthless if they quit * Cold calling resumes to get people to sign up and lie about the position * A recruit must give out a reference sheet then the agent calls that reference sheet to try to sell life insurance * Agents will force you to recruit and sell to get their promotion to Senior Marketing Director and further. * Will make you a sale pitch of it's your own business and you can build your own agency when technically you're working for Transamerica * Horrible training. Instead of training you about life insurance they only focus on recruit. * Everything is recruiting based and not much about selling a service.

Pros

Awesome benefits and 401K. Group of people in West Chester Ohio were the best people to work with. To bad you let them go.

Cons

Nothing really good to say about the company as a whole. Management doesn't care about their employee's and their success. Closed up location in Ohio and displaced many hard working good people who have been with the company for 20 or more years and didn't offer anybody to transfer within the company.

I very much appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback, and highlighting some of the highs and lows. Transamerica employs are hard working, caring, and community driven people across all of our locations. The decision to consolidate some facilities was done, in part, to maintain a viable business for another 100+ years. It was also to help Transamerica be more nimble, in an ever changing industry, and position us to better serve our customers. Knowing that certain business decisions were going to impact some good people, was difficult and not taken lightly.

Pros

The better job option in the area.

Cons

9/18/2017 Funny quote from Transamerica found here. "We have free online trainings for all employees to use, as well as an annual goal setting process to help set up all for success." I have tried several times to schedule these and have always been rejected die to business needs or it's something that is not available in our department. The annual goal settings are a joke and they can change sometimes just a few months before annual reviews.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoy the environment here at Transamerica. We try to show our employees how much we appreciate them by paying them adequately, the BRAVO recognition program in place and celebrating Employee Appreciation week in the month of June. We are always welcoming new ideas to approach this. As far as offering free online trainings to all employees – this is true. Some are free and some may be provided at a cost. If the training does incur a fee, the manager will have to approve this training. Due to allotted budgets in each department, I would encourage you to look into the free trainings as a first option. We wish you much success in your career.
