      Great brand name. A lot of room for growth if they'd wake up.

      Cons

      They place no value whatsoever on their employees. No opportunities for advancement. Antiquated processes. A lot of knuckleheads in management positions.

      Pros

      OK benefits, decent pay, nice offices. Fellow employees are nice.

      Cons

      Management is poor and not very professional. Does not encourage high level thinking, passive aggressive and very preferential in treatment of certain employees. Systems are 20 years behind the times, using dot-matrix programs in some circumstances.

      Pros

      The best thing about working at Transamerica is the salary and bonus potential.

      Cons

      Processes, reports, and systems are all antiquated and people have a hard time changing their ways to increase efficiency. Culture is an environment where each division, including Corporate, battle each other frequently and no one steps to the front and makes decisions as they are scared of confrontations. Benefits are lackluster and they regulate PTO to certain months which limits when you are able to take vacations.
