Pros

Many years ago, this used to be a great place to work. There is nothing good or positive about this company.

Cons

It is like living in the movie, "Groundhog Day." Someone joins the company with some "great big idea" that we tried years ago. We implement the idea after spending large sums of money, the idea fails miserably and the company makes no more mention of said "great big company changing idea." We then receive an email that the "big idea guy" is leaving to spend quality time with family and departs with a nice fat severance package. REPEAT. These executives have driven this company into the ground and now they send am email stating we will no longer receive a raise unless you are an exceptional employee that performs amazing feats. I would compare their idea of "amazing" to a doctor performing brain surgery on a high wire; it is impossible and unattainable therefore the chances of an employee receiving a raise is 99.9% improbable. So you're saying there's a chance? Move along folks. Nothing to see here.

First, let me thank you for everything you do for the company and the feedback. It sounds like you have been here for some time and experienced a great deal of change. One of the company goals for 2016 is to better recognize our talent. In order to do this we moved to a pay for performance model last year so we that we can appropriately recognize everyone's contribution, and in a consistent way. This did affect the bonus and merit amounts depending on how successful people were in relation to their personal goals throughout the course of the year. This was a big shift from past years. However, as a result of last year's efforts, we recognized over 7000 (almost 93%) of our employees.

Pros

Decent work life balance. Friendly and relaxed co-workers.

Cons

No upward mobility, infrequent and very low salary increases, anemic bonus. Management shows very little interest in the welfare of their employees.

Thank you for your feedback; we're happy to hear you find the people and work environment a positive here at Transamerica. We continually strive to provide a competitive compensation plan. Employees have access to free training opportunities online which can help progress their careers. As you know, we host annual Employee Appreciation days to recognize the contributions of valued employees and to celebrate our shared successes. This past year - as Mark Mullin communicated - we made considerable progress and achieved our key targets. With the support of all, we hope to have an equally successful year in 2017.
